    On Dec. 9, United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced the federal Grand Jury for the District of Nebraska has returned four unsealed Indictments charging eight defendants. Indictments are charging documents that contain one or more individual counts that are merely accusations, and every defendant is presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.     United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced on Dec. 10, that Shelby Olson, 46, of Kearney, was sentenced Dec. 10, in federal court in Lincoln, for distributing 50 grams or more of actual methamphetamine. Senior United States District Judge John M. Gerrard sentenced Olson to 120 months’ imprisonment. There is no parole in the federal system.     United States Attorney Susan Lehr announced on Dec. 11, the extradition of Abiola Kayode, 37, of Nigeria, to the District of Nebraska on a Conspiracy to Commit Wire Fraud Indictment, filed in August 2019 in Omaha. In April 2023, law enforcement authorities in the Republic of Ghana arrested Kayode pursuant to a U.S. request for his extradition. Ghanaian authorities ultimately granted this request and surrendered Kayode to FBI special agents who brought him to the District of Nebraska.
